The importance of billet families to the Wolves organization is immeasurable, without billets we could not put a team on the ice! The goal of billet families is to provide an environment of support and trust with the players, giving them a home away from home.
Billeting FAQ
What is a billet family?
- Billet families, also known as host families, are who our players from outside the area live with throughout the hockey season.
What is expected from the billet families?
- Billet families are expected to provide a bed, healthy meals and snacks, a place to do laundry, a place to study, internet access and a patient, caring, positive and friendly home atmosphere.
- Support for team policies and rules including curfews, academic standards, and community engagement
What do billet families get?
- Monthly compensation of $600.00 for each player in your home One (1) season ticket per player in your home for all home games (not including playoffs/pre-season)
- Invitation to the team banquets and participation in special team events
Can you billet more than one player?
- Yes, two (or more) players can live with one billet family, so long as each player is provided with adequate living conditions, and one has access to a vehicle.
