COMMITMENT ALERT | LASERS TREVOR POEZE COMMITS TO NCAA NIAGARA UNIVERSITY

Ottawa, ON – The Central Canada Hockey League is pleased to announce that Kanata Lasers forward Trevor Poeze has committed to NCAA Division 1 Niagara University for the 2020-21 season.

The 1999 born Mississauga, ON native totaled 63 points (24G, 39A) in just 48 games this season due to injury, placing him 8th overall in the CCHL scoring race. In 167 career regular season and playoff games, Poeze has totaled 156 points (67G, 89A).

“He’s come a long way since joining the Lasers three years ago,” said Lasers General Manager Ian Henderson. “His offensive game is one of the best in the entire CCHL, not to be outdone by his defensive game either. Niagara is getting a complete player and great human being. I wish him all the best and am very proud of his accomplishments.”

Poeze is the second Lasers player to make a school commitment for next season, joining team captain Liam Markhauser who heads off to USports University of Ottawa.
