Greg Sharpe Announced as U18 Head Coach

The Wolves are very pleased to announce that Greg Sharpe will be taking over as Head Coach of the Renfrew Wolves U18AAA program!

Greg was initially hired to run the program for the 2020-2021 season, but had to step down due to health concerns involving COVID-19. While unable to be at the rink during the season, Greg was instrumental in providing video analysis to players and staff, while also having an active role in planning practices, and implementing systems.

Greg has been coaching minor hockey since 2011 and has been scouting in the CCHL since 2017, where his experience was instrumental in our two most recent Bantam Drafts. Most recently, he spent the last three seasons as a head coach for the Myers AAA Minor and Major Bantams. During the off season Greg runs skills clinics for OHL, Junior A and several of the top U18 players in the city.

“Greg is the kind of guy you want developing your players. He’s as passionate about the game as they come, with an impeccable attention to detail. He did a great job working with our players remotely this past season, and I can’t wait to see how effective he can be in a more hands on role,” said GM Tanner Bowditch about the hiring.

Sharpe will be taking over from Scott Buffam who stepped in as the Head Coach for this past season. Scott did a phenomenal job with the program, and we would like to thank him for his contributions to the Renfrew Wolves. We wish Scott the best of luck in all of his future endeavors. Greg will be joining GM/Associate Coach Tanner Bowditch on the bench this year.

Please join the entire Wolves organization in congratulating Greg on his new role!
