Renfrew Wolves Wrap Up Successful ‘Pink the Rink’ Event with $3,400 Donation to Renfrew Victoria Hospital Foundation
Renfrew, ON — The Renfrew Wolves Hockey Club concluded its Pink the Rink event with resounding success, raising $3,400 for the Renfrew Victoria Hospital (RVH) Foundation. The funds were gathered through auctions of limited-edition players pink jerseys, special event t-shirts, and generous donations from fans and the Renfrew Wolves Hockey Club in support of breast cancer awareness.
More than 500 fans packed the stands for over the exciting weekend of hockey, cheering on both the Jr. A Wolves and Jr. B Timberwolves in a show of solidarity with the breast cancer awareness cause. The contributions will support the RVH Mammography Department, aiding in early detection efforts and helping save lives.
On behalf of the RVH Foundation, Executive Director Patti Dillabough expressed gratitude for the club’s commitment to the cause. “I would like to extend our sincere thanks to the Renfrew Wolves Hockey Club for being such a big part of our Breast Cancer Month with our Pink the Rink event. It was a huge success, and we look forward to working together on other projects in the future. Thank you, Jr. A Wolves and Jr. B Timberwolves, for supporting our Breast Cancer Awareness campaign and for doing your part to help our RVH Mammography Department save lives, one mammogram at a time,” said Dillabough.
Head Coach Jason Gould echoed the pride of the Renfrew Wolves organization in supporting such a meaningful cause. “Seeing our fans fill the stands and show their support for the Pink the Rink event was truly inspiring,” Gould said. “Breast cancer touches so many lives, and we’re honored to contribute to the RVH Foundation and help make a difference in our community.”
