Coach Leonard and the Wolves organization are happy to announce the acquisition of Samuel Willits from the OCN Blizzard in the Manitoba Junior Hockey League.
A native of London Ontario, Willits will bring size, toughness and a great skillset to our blueline. Standing at 6’1″ and 185 pounds, the 2001 born defenceman amassed 4 goals and added 17 assists for 21 points in 58 games with the Blizzard last season.
When asked about coming to Renfrew, Willits said, “I’m really excited to have the opportunity to come to such a great organization, I look forward to competing and trying to make an immediate impact this upcoming season”.
Coach Leonard is thrilled to be adding another veteran defenceman to our lineup, stating that, “We’re excited to add another top 4 caliber D man to our group that can play with both grit and skill”.
In exchange for Willits, the Wolves sent the playing rights to Luka Bolduc, as well as a PDF.
