The Wolves are very pleased to announce the acquisition of F Tyson Tomasini from the Cornwall Colts in exchange for D Andrew Lukezic, the rights to F Justin Palmer and a PDF.
Tyson spent a couple months out east in Moncton skating with the Moncton Wildcats of the QMJHL, before coming back to the CCHL. Tomasini had a brief stint with the Lumber Kings last season before being traded to Nepean, where the 2002 born rookie managed 12 goals and 27 assists for 39 points in just 55 games. The veteran Tomasini will add considerable offence to our already strong forward core.
A native of Cobden, Tyson has been a target of Coach/GM Leonard since purchasing the club in the spring. “Tyson has been on our radar for a long time. We were hoping to get him sooner, but we’re just happy to be able to get something worked out with Cornwall to have him playing at home.”
“I’m really excited to be playing so close to home, and to be able to play with a few good friends of mine who are already on the team. I can’t wait to get started!” said Tomasini when asked about the trade.
In return the Wolves send 2001 defenceman Andrew Lukezic, the rights to F Justin Palmer and a player development fee. Coach Leonard has nothing but great things to say about Lukezic, saying “Andrew is a great kid and a solid defenceman who will do big things in Cornwall. We want to thank Andrew for his tireless work ethic and for helping us establish a great culture for our new program.”
