Renfrew Wolves power through CCHL playoffs

The first playoff season for the Junior A Renfrew Wolves hockey team is off to a strong start.

The Central Canada Hockey League (CCHL) team won against the Kemptville 73’s during the first round of playoffs with a 4-2 series lead; the Wolves’ first full season saw the team finish fourth in the league.

In the second round, the Renfrew Wolves play against the Ottawa Junior Senators. Game one was held in Ottawa on April 23, with the Wolves taking the game with 3-1; game two, held in Renfrew, saw the Junior Senators win 3-2 in overtime, which ties the series at 1-1.

The next game will be held in Ottawa tomorrow (April 27) at 8:30 p.m.; the Wolves’ next home game is Friday at 7 p.m. Tickets are available at the door before the game.
