Larabie Commits to Carleton University Ravens (USports)

The Wolves are very excited to announce that our Captain Paul Larabie has committed to play for the Carleton University Ravens for the 2021-2022 season!

Paul has had a phenomenal junior career, splitting time between the OHL and CCHL, playing for the Kingston Frontenacs for two seasons, Nepean Raiders and Kanata Lasers for a season each, before finishing his career as the captain of the Renfrew Wolves.

“I was happy to commit to such a good program, with an amazing staff that care about the development of their players” Larabie said when speaking of his decision to play at Carleton. A native of Nepean, Larabie is also thrilled about the prospect of going to school so close to home, saying “Being close to home is very exciting for me. Having the support of my family and friends is something that makes this opportunity even better.”

Having played for a number of teams during his junior career, Paul is very grateful for the coaches that helped him get here. “Thanks to Lenny and all of my past coaches who helped me get to this point as a player, and I can’t wait to keep improving as I take this next step in my career.”

Having Paul as the first captain in our new program’s history has been an integral part of establishing the culture that will make the Wolves a force for the coming years. In what has been a very difficult year for all players, taking on the task of captaining a program was all the more challenging. Paul has been an outstanding member of our team, and his leadership this season will have a major role in the years to come.

We are hopeful that Paul will be seen wearing the Wolves’ logo again in the coming weeks, as soon as the local and provincial health authorities permit us to resume play.

Once more we would like to thank Paul for his contributions to the Wolves, and congratulate him for this major achievement!
