The Wolves are very happy to announce that defenseman Will Larsen has committed to continue you his hockey career while studying at Nipissing University!
The 6’3 defensive juggernaut has been patrolling CCHL bluelines for the past 6 seasons, with stints in Smiths Falls and Kanata before finishing his career as an assistant captain in Renfrew. In his time in the league he amassed 10 goals and 30 assists for 40 points, as well as 195 PIMS in 177 regular season games.
“I’m excited to join such a great organization with high end academics at Nipissing. I want to thank Coach Leonard and the rest of the Wolves staff for helping me reach my goals of playing university hockey. I’d also like to thank all of my other coaches who helped me get to this point.” said Larsen when asked for comment.
Coach Leonard had nothing but kind words for Will, who was selected as part of his core leadership group this past summer. “Will has been a steady defenseman for a number of years in this league, and will definitely be a huge asset for the Lakers. He was instrumental in building a strong culture for our new program, and we would like to thank Will for everything he’s done for us during his time in Renfrew.”
